Post Re: Motorcycle Riders
so i had my first day of training today. i have to say it was REALLY fun.
rode around in a 125 cbr. which definitely made me realize that starting with a 650 is too much. definitely gonna go with a 250 for a first bike and slowly progress from there if i haven't died yet.
everything was fairly easy. gear changing, down shifting, counter steering.
the one problem i had was keeping my balance at slow speeds. it was decent for the most part until the exercises with really sharp 90 degree turns.
looking forward to another day of riding tomorrow followed by the rider test. wish me luck.

I own a 2008 Honda CRF 450. I ride with my brother he's got a 2009 Honda CRF 450. We ride mainly on dirt tracks or nature trails.

Thats exactly what I did.

I'm actually Selling my Ninja 250 now. I've had it for a year and now it's time to upgrade.

Excellent first bikes. You've got to be pretty dumb to lay it down.

That and their cheap too.

Post Re: Motorcycle Riders
damn. if u weren't all the way in texas, i would prolly look into buying it off u. got pictures of it? ninja 250s are the sex. what year?

and yea. i passed my rider test, w00t! i was pretty confident the entire day of riding but i definitely choked a bit during the test. i knew i didn't do as well as i could so even though i passed i was disappointed in myself. the instructors were really nice tho, they noticed as well, and talked to me after about it.
"you were riding perfectly all day long, your nervousness definitely showed when you were doing the tests. don't worry about it too much though, you will do great if you are in the same groove when you ride as you were this morning."

i also got to try the rebel. VERY comfortable ride. I felt like i could fall asleep on it. the positioning was very different though. made me a bit confused when i first hopped on.

overall, had a great weekend of riding, and tired as shit now. can't wait to get a 250 =D
