I'm getting my motorcycle license. i did a written test and im doing a training program and road test this weekend.

have you guys ever had to deal with bike theft or anything like that? I live in the Toronto, Canada area and there seems to be A LOT of bike thefts happening. worries me quite a bit.

Im in Markham. i've been reading a bit in the GTAmotorcycle forums and seems like downtown toronto is not a place i want to take my bike, or at least if i do, my eyes won't b leaving it.

EDIT: i lived in Oakville for a few months, went to Sheridan College there. Then withdrew from the program.

Same, but I'd prefer it if I was riding a horse. Back in 'nam I was riding something akin to a Honda Cub and crashed into another bike from behind at 10mph because the douchebag thought it was funny to stop in the middle of some train tracks and there weren't any traffic lights, it being in the sticks and in the sticks in 'nam there ain't no rules. Ended up having to buy the guy a new rear fender given it was made out of cheap plastic and not worth a damn. Thing just snapped right off.

im interested in getting a sport bike. im thinking about starting off with a ninja 250. or mayb get a ninja 650 right off the bat.
any suggestions?

Ask someone who rides a 650 if you can try it, and then make your decision.
