I've been reading about the strongest beers for a while now. I can't imagine that stuff tasting any good. On top of that I hear that its $$$$ just for a bottle of it.

Sink the Bismarck and Tactical nuclear penguin are also incredibly strong. And technically, I believe anything over 50% proof is billed as liquor in the US, which means a whole new set of tax laws.

So we start in about 2003 with Dogfish Head Raison d'Extra, then Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, then Dogfish Head Worldwide Stout, then a few other no-name breweries top those beers in ABV. Then came Sam Adams Utopias. They held the crown for a long time at 21% I think. It might have been 25. I don't really care to look it up.

Then this whole big battle between Brewdog and Schorschbrau started. Schorschbrau got into it with their Schorschbock. Brewdog topped that with Tactical Nuclear Penguin, and then a higher alcohol beer by Schorschbrau, Eisbock, came out. A couple weeks later, Brewdog came out with Sink the Bismark. Schorschbrau responded by upping the alcohol content of their Eisbock. That's when Brewdog put out their beer called "The End of History" that was packaged in dead animals (google it -- shit's boss).

Then this stupid Dutch bag brewer came out of the woodworks and decided to make their very own ridiculous brew when the Scots (Brewdog) and the Germans were duking it out.

BTW, Brewdog's beer is AMAZING. Buy it if you can.

Try their Punk IPA if you like hops, and their Tokio Stout if you like stouts. Be warned, though. Tokio is like 18% or so, and runs between $5-15 per 12oz bottle.

PETA doesn't hate them they just are all fakes the real meaning behind this acronym is as follows:
P people
E eating
T tasty
A animals

so I don't think PETA cared lol
