Post n00b Scrim Rules
Starting now, we'll be accepting suggestions for rules for n00b scrims.

Example:
Quote:
The Vozy Rule: If you start a scrim, you are committing to play the whole scrim without going AFK. If you need to go AFK during half (get a drink, etc) you need to notify the server and have no more than 5 minutes. If you take longer than 5 minutes the other team can lo3 without you.

The "I'm getting Tucker to play for me" Rule: If you need to leave a scrim for some reason, you have the option of finding a replacement. Your replacement, however, must be approved by the other team before they join -- this is to prevent baddies from being replaced by Tuckers. If you or your team can't find an replacement player thats acceptable, your team will be forced to play a man short. This may sound harsh, but as noted in the Vozy rule, by starting a scrim, you are committing to play the entire scrim.

The Fat Kid Rule: When picking teams for a scrim after an immediately previous scrim, the players who were not picked last scrim must be picked first.

12 Person Rule: If there are 12 people ready to scrim, a 5v5 makes no sense -- regardless of who bitches about it. It's a 6v6.

We hope this will resolve any of the remaining causes of rage (that we can help) in these scrims.

Another thing.....

After teams are picked.....know what team you are on and join the right team. That way we dont have to wait 10 minutes for everyone to get on the right side so we can start.

it helps when you load up the pregame script so people dont get continuously auto team balanced over before.

dont deny captain so much and this wont happen

most likely

Also people who join vent after team picking has started should have to wait till the next scarm

The spectator rule:

When you're in a scrim, dont' switch to spec and back. We know it gives you money but its retarded and you wouldnt' do it in a league match.

I enver get sick of it unless my strat calling is going to siht, I need to take lessons from vozy sometime soon. Lul.

Oh and for the record sometimes you can't tell if a team is stacked before the scrim starts.... example today the two I did earlier in teh afternoon.. on paper the teams were perfect maybe minorly stacked. On the scrim my team got rolled two times in a row 16-1 and 16-5

Some kind of system regarding those who team attack and team kill intentionally after they're already committed to the scrim.

Whenever possible each team picks 1 extra person, i.e for 5v5 each capt picks 6 people and for 6v6 each capt picks 7 people, and either:

1) The extra person is a substitute and each team (first 5 or 6) has 2-5 minutes to join the server. If all 5 (or 6) are not in the server by a reasonable time then the extra person joins to fill the empty spot (usually we're waiting for one fattie)

2) The scrim starts when the first 5 of the 6 picked (or 6 of 7) join the correct team

The Luff Waffle Rule: If you have a 7 year old E Machine, and you want to scrim. Restart your shitty computer and join the server before the teams are even picked.

I've been doing that today skull. I'm telling the captain who doesn't pick first to pick the map before teams are chosen so i can join beforehand.

Post Re: n00b Scrim Rules
The ringer rule shouldn't be regulated that hard. You know what round you usually get picked. If you are first round you can only replace someone 1-2, if you are mid-level 2-3-4, if you are bad then 4-5. But then again, there are situations that there is only 1 person there to play and you have me replacing emerald. Just say you are subbing and sub out. 90% of the time, it doesn't matter who you are subbing. I subbed for someone terrible the other day on train and we still lost.

There is nothing you can do about team stacking. That is exactly what you want to do when you are a captain. I've heard people say "well I didn't pick the best guy because I want it to be fair" BULLSHIT! You pick to win. If the other guy is an idiot, that is his fault.

Map selections. There should be a set map list to choose from that does NOT include aztec, dust, prodigy, tides, piranesi, and maybe 1-2 more UNLESS the other team agrees to the map. I never want to see a 6v6 on tides. It is F*CKING ridiculous. Also, fomenta, add forge, tuscan, and russka, I'm pretty sure all you are missing is the models for the maps since you said they were on the server. Each has bullshit tree models(at least for 1.6) that you need to put on the server also.

There needs to be a way to pick captains. I HATE being a captain, last night someone made das be a captain and he asked me who to pick and after like 2 picks I had no idea who to pick next because I don't pay attention to how other people play. Outside of the top players(dropout, julian, tucker, das, iceman, mossy, nick, snuggle, fomenta, and a few others) I have no idea who is better than who, so I can't stand being captain. But there needs to be a better way to choose captains.

The long turn around time in-between pugs, we have to eliminate that I don't want to wait 30 mins to play a 30 min pug. I think a standard for captains will eliminate most of that.

None of this bullshit put a 1 in your comment if you are here anymore. If you are in the "SCARMIN ROOM" channel, you are there. There is a 20 min AFK timer to move to the AFK channel, so if someone isn't there, they are leaving the channel, or they just left for a minute to get something. If you aren't playing, get out of the F*CKING channel, the channel isn't for your gossip corner time with bff jill. If you aren't there and you get picked you won't be scrimming for a while.

Oh and picking teams, you should be able to pick first, map, or side. If you give up first pick, you get to pick map and the other team gets to decide the side. Or you could have fun and knife for sides. takes 2 minutes and is actually fun. $800 no nades. If you pick first you get pick 1, other person gets 2 and 3, you get 4 and 5. It would make the teams more even that way, but I don't know if certain people have the intelligence to understand these.
