I really wouldn't push a lot of you guys to buy the game if I didn't think you'd like it. It was really difficult for me to go outside my niche with CS, but when I played this... it opened me up to giving games a shot that I wasn't familiar with, and I made a really, really good choice.

Well I just have seen it happen before with COD4, Dieus can tell you how it's like because he was one of the main dudes that were in the COD4 push along with Double.

I'm all for seeing new things and seeing what they'll do, but all that is coming into my head is how is this different from our last endeavor? Different game? Another example would be our CS:S mod server we had before and how did they turn out, it's just ever apparent to me the only thing that really is solid is the Pub and some of the sub clan tomfoolery which is a nice fresh breath (as maybe 6 months ago subclans were pretty much a fancy social club at best). I do not know what will be different between this time round and last time honestly. Sure same people, name, server and such but I can't believe the hype with it comes to atmosphere and such. I really just am not convinced

I guess in the end if and when it goes down I will just have to watch to see if it really takes of or sink like a lead balloon. Never know it could be the next Led Zeppelin, but I never am one to believe in too much hyped things.

Personally, I'm not supporting this in thinking that this is going to be the next big thing since sliced bread. I just don't think it would hurt to set up a dedicated server and see where it goes from there. If we get a good amount of decent people from it and we manage to expand our community beyond its current scope, great. If not, then oh well. At the very least some n00bs may have fun with it when it first launches.

IMHO, just because something fails once doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying or stop trying other things. Nothing would get done if people just immediately gave up after something fails.

Well I'm all for it acid I need another game to keep me busy oter than WoW and CSS cause I get mad at one I go to the other :) I'm hopeing that something new would come around anyways because the way orange box is going for CSS it'll either get fixed or many ppl will leave it behind. But I'm one for new things I'm personally waiting for FF 14 to come out I kno that game will take most of my time and I'll be askn Gman and the elders about a clan or linkshell for n00b fest on that game when everthey decide to let it come out I know it's in beta phase right now :)

What about Call of Duty World at War? There's dedicated servers and that is a great game.

As for Natural Selection 2, never even heard of the series, sorry.

Another thing you have to notice, you're attracting a different type of people. People that may/may not fit in with n00bfest, and would stay away from forums and clan actiivties, even if in.

Pessimism aside, I would love to try a new game. not for sure how much time I'll have to play it, but if it isn't too expensive, I would play it if there was a n00bfest server. And it sounds like everyone that's played the first one, says it's great.

Garrett, we're aiming for the same people to play with us in NS2, who are playing with us in CSS. No difference. You guys have to understand, even IF we allow people to join n00b through NS2, we'll have some type of system setup so they can get to know everyone else.

I loooooved NS1. i thought i was the only one who played it, lol. I'm definitely gonna buy NS2.

Im all for expanding, and was always on during the COD4 when Sox/missy had it up. I wouldnt be opposed to NS2 or BFBC2 for that matter. Hell, I would even be happy to get more people playing Blacklight: Tango down. Fun game, runs on the Unreal engine.
