This is the thread to let us know if you would be interested in purchasing Natural Selection 2 and helping the community expand to newer games. Part of keeping a community alive is keeping things fresh. By expanding our community introducing new games supports this purpose. what is natural selection 2? can i get someones opinion of it and if its worth it?

Just made a post on the front page with all kinds of videos, their website, and a brief description of the game type, and play.

i will purchase this if my comp can run it if not ill purchase it when i make my rig In november/december

Other games like Starcraft and other MMOs that we know people play. I really don't think we should limit ourselves to being a CSS community only. More like a general gaming community.

Like these people: http://www.couchathletics.com/forums. They trim the inactive members and play multiple games, the main one being TF2. They have weekly drawings for prizes and competitions and get togethers (online) all the time. They also have dozens of members on the forums at any given time.

I won't be buying NS2. I won't have the time to start playing a new game. I'm not against the expansion unless it has a negative impact on the already existing "CS crowd".

Well it's fine and dandy we have groups that go out and play other games and spread the word of [n00b], splitting our main focus and trying to expand our reach to multiple games as a focus has been done and it didn't work.

In the end we all come to Counter Strike and that's our game

If there needs to be more convincing just look at our endeavor into COD4 (we had servers, dedicated admins, forums, and a good amount of people that played for awhile), I think it's proof of our community that while we like to play to other games and such, we end up going back to CS:S and in the end that's what our focus is.

I'm all for seeing support for a group to go out and endeavor into new things but unless an absolute majority of the people are going to buy and play I see no point. Also even than it's hard to tell if the lifetime of such a project would be substantial.

I'm not coming back to Counter-Strike. Yes, I've played it since I said I wouldn't, but only once or so. I will never play it like I used to. It's time to move on to bigger and better things. Alot of our higher admins would be playing games like NS2 or SC2.
