So my very last job interview in the west florida area paid off and I'm now a Geico employee. It took 2 days of me driving across FL (PSL to Lakeland) for the interview process but I got a shit paying job with them. It's cool though because hopefully with the stuff I plan on doing outside of work and with the insurance knowledge I'll gain from working in claims I should be making decent money soon enough.

So anyone in Lakeland? I heard Geno's stinky ass still lives around here...

That's what I was going to assume, I'm going to try this mindset when I deploy into the workforce sometime next year or so.

Everyone in the Midwest drive truck, if they don't drive truck they drive old granny cars like oldsmobiles and buicks.

So? were suppose to because we actually farm. So we actually need a truck to haul things. And the old granny cars is to haul our 20kids back and forth to town...u be surprised how many kids can fit in a bucket seat :)

Just checking....what was your degree in? Its all about the experience and how you handle the opportunities when they come up.

My degree was in mathematics. I would like to get into enterprise risk management not necessarily just in insurance. I would like at some point to work for a consulting firm that works with small and medium sized companies and helps them identify risks and opportunities and help them become more efficient.

I'm hoping to get accepted into FSUs online Risk Management & Insurance Master's degree program. That would be awesome because then I could directly pursue what I want to do.

Sounds like you are starting in the right field. It will give you an idea if you really want to keep down the risk management path. Good luck and have fun with Baldie!
