Well my computers been running perfect until yesterday. Now all fo a sudden i'm gatting alerts from McAfee saying it's detecting Trojans. I have an idea what it's from. Yesterday Fomenta got me to use Utorrent to download a file he said was good. But now it's detecting like 22 trojans and i'm REALLY not trying to reformat. I've got way to much important shit and no way to save it to anything. I've done a few quick scans with Malwarebytes, McAfee, and AdAware. And now i'm doing a full scan to see if it finds anything else. Anyone have any recomendations for things that could remove the shit ?

Those three should cover it. Find the names of the trojans in the report and most of the time macafee norton ect will have specific uninstallers for the trojan if you search their sites.

Agreed. I used Norton as it automatically removes/quarantines trojans and other nasty stuff. I just get a notification about it when it happens.

Best shit I have found to date for complete and total removal of malware. Free version is full function manual scan/remove.

A lot of trojans even include a process watcher that looks for the installer executable process by name and kills it when it starts up. If that starts happening to you rename the installer and run it.

I would also try hijackthis. You have to upload your file to hijackthis.de and they will tell you what to remove.

Ive also personally found, since trojans require a program to be running in order to work doing a msconfig --> startup log check can help identify problems. I did it when I got my last trojan so I did a clean boot and took care of it that way

Your first problem is using McAfee. Worst AV EVER. Anytime I work on any computer that has McAfee, the first thing I do is uninstall that shit and ad something like AVG or anything but McAfee.

Well this mornign I called my mother she does teck supports and shit like that. So they connected to my comp and cleaned it up. So i'm pretty sure everythings fixed so far. They removed McAfee and installed Avast! I'm not sure how well that works. But obviously better than McAfee, because it found all the problems AND fixed them. Instead of telling me there was shit there and not letting me remove it. But now i'm just finishing up running my last full scans with Malwarebytes and Avast just to make sure there's nothing left. So I think i'm good to go.

McFree is fucked up. I think once it released a patch that deleted important files from C:/windows/system area. Norton works ok but i suggest you download Windows Defender to from now on. Its a free microsofts real-time protection software and its helped me pretty good so far and i download some illegal stuff sometimes XD
