I've been traveling for 20+ years in Asia and lived in Singapore for 6 years. I do eat raw fish. However, its an acquired taste. I prefer Thai food. I think Gman would really like Kobe beef. Its much better than raw fish. Having said that, I am a dive master, and I really love diving on tuna. When its hot....I make it squirt... a lot.

I love fish and Japanese food, except for sushi. I once tried a California roll and it tasted horrible. No more for me.

That's cause California Rolls are NOT what most would consider REAL sushi. They are like, sushi lite. You really need to try a good quality sushi from a good restaurant, you may be surprised. I'm coming from experience turning people who thought they hated it due to a bad experience or just boring rolls like the Cali to sushi fanatics once they had proper sushi with a side of saki.

My girl didn't like sushi cause of that and the rice smelled like viniger which I told her was weird cause I never had rice smelll like that with sushi so askn a chef...what do you guys do to make ur rice sticky? (use vinger or not) and what's that white stuff o.O

I don't plan on going to Portland anytime in the near future, but I love sushi. My local sushi restaurant has alot of fried sushi which is my favorite.

My fiance has been on a sushi kick recently, and has been buying the packaged one (12 pieces), it has cucmber, avocado, salmon and cream cheese. Delicious! The name of the brand escapes me though.
