Well, it's because I did get it from a chick (a chick who's an expert on alcohol, that is). I didn't really care if it's a chick drink or not. When a hot girl gives you a suggestion and gets a box of drinks for you, you drink it without question. That's a universal rule. I'm sure you would do the same :)

I haven't tried Sam Adams yet, but Budweiser, Heineken and Kingfisher (imported from India) all tasted like crap. I'll give Yeti's honey moon a try. I think I should start hunting for mead instead of ales.

Bud = bad, it's one of the cheapest beers you can buy in the USA
Heineken = I kinda like, it but it's a really light flavored beer and I can see how you would think it taste like piss.
Kingfisher = cheapest beer in India...

There's a difference between what I will drink and what I prefer to drink. There's also a difference in what I will buy and what I won't buy.

I don't spend ANY money on ANY Bud/Miller/Coors products. I don't buy very much foreign beer. I buy beer from Texas 90% of the time, and when I deviate from that, it's usually from Russian River or Dogfish Head (both American Micros).

So as some of you have probably realized, I'm a dark brew kinda person... highly preferential to ales. I just tried this American microbrewery called "Oskar Blues" who made this Scottish Ale called "Old Chub" and HOT DAMN its good. 8% ABV, a malty, molasses taste all typifying dark ales, porters and stouts yet its canned and its very fresh. Anyone else ever try anything from Oskar Blues?

Yeah, Oskar Blues is pretty decent. They only can their beer, too, which is strange.

They make a Pale Ale (Dan's Pale Ale) which is pretty decent. They also make a Pilsner that is a great fizzy-yellow-American-beer replacement, but isn't quite as good as something like Sam Adams Noble Pils or Staropramen.

Lol to the Oskar Blues beers, I grew up in town where that started, and I actually now live about 10 min from there and hit it up maybe once a week and was just there last wednesday for some live music. Fun times, good people.

wine is so F*CKING good too.. beer is hella F*CKING good with meat or some junk food, wine is good with a lil bit of everything, really love it too
