 Re: buying new ram
If you want to be a dick, "grammer" is correctly spelled grammar. Now please proceed to hop off of my dick.

Tazzaler wrote: Sneaky Assassin wrote: Tazzaler wrote: but ram is a ram what is RAM? RAM = Random Access Memory I know The joke is that ram is an animal (and a truck)...RAM is the computer hardware piece. It's also a grammer nazi joke being that abriveations are always capitalized or at least containing some sort of periods (ex: USSR or U.S.S.R.)Then don't be a dumb ass. Like what Spyda said.

I was surprised you didn't remember me from your Steve Mcnair thread. That's what hurt the most man...like the feeling people got when long john silvers was closed on Thanksgiving hurt.

 Re: buying new ram
Ram is ram? Sure it is and a car is a car.If you want to run tight timings You better get something better than the cheapest thing you can find.Other wise you might as well say a processor is a processor because your gonna slow everything down with shitty stock timings. Most of the cheap shit will default to a lower spec than what your mother board lets you run.So even if you buy 1333 it will most likely run default at 1066 to make sure its compatible with your mb and when you try to manually set it to 1333 if its a shit brand it could refuse to run.
Look at reviews at places like newegg to make sure it will run at advertised speeds and timings. Most of the times the guys that buy there are pretty good at giving detailed reviews if you do a little reading.Good modules aren't always expensive and they don't have to be big name brands. But most big brands torture test their shit so they can charge more for the chips that can run faster and tighter timings.

Well, when he says price in his post more than once, he obviously isn't trying to buy a lambo..
