First off, I'd like to apologize to some of our more tenured members if my previous house-cleaning post hurt their feelings. It was not my intention to step on anybody's toes, and after a discussion with some of my good (high-ranking) friends, I've decided to go about this a different way. My main goal was to restrict some of our more high-level behind-the-scenes access to those folks who no longer needed it.

aCId_rAIn and Rokatanski have been designated Ancients.

As of now, these Ancients are retired: American Soldier, oreX, Super Effect, h!gh, and Tucker. Those who still play in the server will retain full, unrestricted admin powers. Because of their hard work and dedication in keeping n00bfest around, they will still hold a very high rank in this community. However, they'll be considered "retired" from the day-to-day administrative operation of n00bfest. If these folks ever choose to step up to the plate and take on an active role in administration, they may do so by contacting me directly.

Genocide and BulletCatcher will remain active Ancients, with the responsibilities of keeping up the Council; they will be joint-leaders of the n00bfest Council and will be responsible for maintaining a regular [n00b] admission cycle.

The following Staff Members have been removed due to inactivity, but will have an easy time finding a position whenever they choose to make their return: Judicator, MrS0x, MissyS0x, Shotokan, JFOBP. In fact, until further notice, I'm removing the entire idea of "Staff" from n00bfest. It's just another unnecessary level of administration and bureaucracy that we don't really need at the moment.

Because of his dedication and hard work, I've chosen fomenta to move up from the staff and become an Elder. While I understand he's not as active in the server as quite a bit of the other admins, I believe he's put forth more time and effort into this community than most folks have. Day-in and day-out, he's worked for me on various development projects. He is a valuable asset to n00bfest, and has an extremely level head on his shoulders. I've trusted him with the keys to n00bfest since August, and he hasn't given me one single reason to doubt him. Congrats, Jim. ♥

The search for the other new Elder is on the way. Coach, fomenta and I will be talking with a few folks who we've got our eyes on, and will be making our final selection some time this coming week.
