 Senior class project...
Ok so in my school they already have us juniors prepairing for the class project which is needed to graduate no matter what your GPA is. So i need some help to come up with ideas that show i used some sort of skill that i learned or could have learned from our school. This could be anything from mathematics to shops like woodshop or anything. For me to pass i have to dedicate 15 hours of total work to this "project". they showed us a few examples of older ones like, someone painted a mural, fixed up a car, createing a webpage, and community service and shit. So the first thing that popped into my head was that n00bfest is a great place to get ideas. So i'm just asking for some topics. This isn't like a final exam or anything. This is Diploma or nothing. One of my ideas was building a computer from scratch. And Also going to help out our JV basketball team, but the only problem with community service is that 30 hours are needed. Thanks alot guys.. Mossy :) ♥

 Re: Senior class project...
and by building a computer from scratch, do you mean a pile of boxes of parts? or soldering the F*CKIN boards together and literally making a computer from scratch? Because the former: assembling a computer from parts couldn't take more that an hour or two. The later: is nearly impossible. unless you're making some calculator kit or something, anything with a cpu that requires a heatsink you aint making from scratch. Shit, anything that requires a 386, you aint makin from scratch.
What would be cool is if you made the computer case from scratch, then put all your parts in it. You could even paint your school logo on the side for brownie points.

If you need 15 hours of work, build the computer and install Gentoo linux. That should take 15 hours easily.

My school didn't do the senior project my 12th year, they were too afraid of having people not pass the California high school exit exam. HA!

 Re: Senior class project...
I like the idea's about making the casing for your computer, there's been done some cool ones out of things you allready see in everyday life, like a trash can or a night stand :) Just thought if you like the idea about the casing do something original ^^

 Re: Senior class project...
The casing idea sounds pretty sick. It would be pretty rad to have a personal case like that sitting on the desk.

 Re: Senior class project...
30 hours of community service isn't a lot when you have a year to do it and it doesn't usually take a lot of work. Youcould volunteeer at a youth center and teach kids to play ball or something.

30 hours of CS also isn't bad if you've got the hookup with Illuminati members.
