 as some of you witnessed
I spilled beer all over my g15 and now she no worky no morem. So I'm gonna be out for a few untill my new one arrives. Couldn't get the old style g15 so I got the newer style and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. So ill be back to killing all of you prolly by wednesday. I'm hoping that in a few days the old one will have had time to dry out and start working again.

Re: as some of you witnessed
I can't tell you how many times I've spilled shit on my keyboard...I don't use those fancy ones, though, so if I did, it might be a different story.

Re: as some of you witnessed
Just wash it. Unplug, take apart, rinse, wash, lick, etc.
Allow to dry and hook it back up.
People have this funny idea that electrical and electronic items are somehow sensitive to water. It's not the item itself reacting to the water, it's the electricity that causes the problem. No electricity, no problem.
In theory, you could take your PC out back and hose it off, as long as you are able to dry completely before turning it back on.
P.S. - I do NOT have the balls to test that theory. I'm thinking there would be a drop left SOMEWHERE when I power it back on.

Re: as some of you witnessed
The next time I see a computer thrown out on the special garbage days they collect furniture and stuff I'm going to pick it up and test Corpse's theory.

Re: as some of you witnessed
Well what Corpse said is true, but only if it's unplugged. But Spidey's keyboard is backlit, and dumping water on a backlit keyboard usually ends in fail, since it will short out.
So yeah, water + electronics = no big deal as long as they are unplugged. Otherwise it's short city.

Re: as some of you witnessed
I had a G15 when they first came out.... three weeks later I spilled beer on mine and fried it. Took it apart and cleaned it, but it fried the second the beer got into it.

Re: as some of you witnessed
Ive had mine for about 2 yrs now and Im gonna miss her. I was unaware that they cam out with a newer version of it, not sure if i like it as much as the older version, it has less macro keys, a smaller lcd screen and has buttons for the volume instead of the little wheel like the old one. heres the newer version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6823126034
