 Re: Gaming Laptop
9400 is a bit under par (I'm going to put money down that it ain't going to do Crysis to great though mate has a 9600 and it runs fine on his shit), but it looks solid, Asus is a solid brand.
Also the processor is low as well...
As for WoW it'll run, CSS of course, I ran CSS for a while on a Dell XPS 1550 with an 8400 and it ran just fine.
I do not know about L4D...possibly.

 Re: Gaming Laptop
looks fine, I run crysis on an 8800 GTS well enough if not high on most settings., so your laptop would whoops my GPU's ass,
Wow of course it'll run on that, and CSS without a hitch more than likely
downside might be your processor but it's good enough

 Re: Gaming Laptop
I personally would want a better hard drive, 5400rpm is slow as balls. Your processor should be fine, most programs can't even utilize 2.8ghz of processing power anyways lol. As for the graphics card..blah blah blah it's not very good.
See if you can't find an HP for a better deal. I know mine was a bit expensive but this thing could crush most desktops, and the support for them is F*CKING nuts. :)

 Re: Gaming Laptop
i just recently bought a gaming laptop for when i travel back home.. specs are ok and the price is great. im only paying about 30 bucks a month on it also. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834115592so far is been awesome it has a 1gb nvidia vid card in it.. 150fps in source, runs wow with no lag even during raids. finger print scanner glossy screen full keyboard etc only downside is the mouse pad is in a weird position, but i used a mouse and you can turn it off so there is no issues.

 Re: Gaming Laptop
I'm using an ASUS G50VT-X6 and it kicks ass. Basically 1600x1080 resolution Nvidia 9800m w 512 dedicated memory and 2 hard drive bays. Only drawback is the sucker is HUGE, think 17in laptop huge.
As far as the Acer goes, the only bad thing I can see is the resolution 1366 x 768. You might have some problem running games at that resolution as it doesn't look like it's a standard one.

high wrote: your paying 300 more then you should be for a black and white cover.. it doesnt even have ddr3 ram.. Yeah, but I'm not paying for it. Obviously he is and is more than willing. To save my time I'd say good choice rather than...no there's better somewhere and have to find all the links and all that bs. That laptop will do what he wants it to, and it does look pretty sweet lol
