Well, we are time traveling every time we look at the celestial objects through a telescope after all, though it is only into the past. When we look at an object that is a thousand light years away, we are seeing how it looked like a thousand years ago. Who knows how it looks like right now...It's fascinating. Look far enough and you can see starts being created, but at this moment, they might be solar systems. There might be an advanced alien civilization in Andromeda right now (our time), but the only way to verify it is by waiting for 2.5 million years :(

Naw. When I took astronomy courses at the college (for fun), though it was mostly astrophysics, we always had some fun, profound discussions regarding space and time. The only part that wasn't fun was waiting for 2 hours to use the college telescope for a maximum of 60 seconds. All the local bastards show up hours early whenever the observatory is open, so even if you're a student you have no choice but to stand in line.
