Ive never really been into the series, that being said i love the original movies. When the first "new" star trek came out i was very trepid about watching it, finally a buddy convinced me they did the reboot justice. So i watched it, and god was it awesome. The second one is just as good, the thing is you dont HAVE to have seen the original movies (like wrath of khan) to get the second one, but it DOES add a few twists for if you have. That is as close as i will get to a spoiler, but yes great movie. cant wait for the next installment.
