And, in case someone was sleeping through History class, let me help you understand this significance of this man: In the Shenandoah Valley Campaign in 1862, He led a group of 15,000 through the moutains, Fighting off THREE DIFFERENT ARMIES OF 20,000 MEN EACH, and moved at a pace of 15-25 miles a day. So fast that Robert E. Lee called them "Jackson's foot cavalry". To this day, Jackson's valley campaign is taught extensively in Military schools around the world, and considered to be one of the greatest of the modern age.
