It's a PC in a small form-factor... Hook up a USB mouse and keyboard.

 Re: Piston is coming.
I wrote a large paragraph here but than I remembered this is n00bfest. A focused "PC" running on Linux, limited upgradeablelity, heavily marketed with a controller and "Big Picture mode" is virtually a console.

 Re: Piston is coming.
Hot-swappable cards? Ever heard of them?
First two arguments answered. With the price point you pay, it's your personal opinion it's better to buy another console, but when you're getting a console/PC (both) and given the fact that most consoles (after you purchase all the addons, and wireless attachments, headsets, etc. You're pretty much paying around the same price. Of course you aren't now, since the current console technology is getting older.
I can't teach you how to build and operate a PC to make you change your mind... you have to understand where Windows is taking the market in terms for gaming.

That thing is tiny and any discreet Gpu adds unwanted heat. The video I watched in the link mentioned using similar Gpu's to the Radeon Hd 7660G (not bad but not the best either) Its not a horrible concept, I just think its going to be overpriced, And working on them is going to be a bitch

 Re: Piston is coming.
There is no point in "working on them". It's not a hobbyist's system. If you want something to play around with like that, buy some Legos.
How are hot swaps NOT a good option? You either buy a new console for $700 or you buy a $100 hot swappable upgrade card. Take your pick.
We don't know the actual price yet, and who cares if it doesn't have the best GPU in it? The shit didn't cost 12 grand to build. It's not made for you to F*CK with...

It's not the steambox that we're waiting on, but Valve is backing that console tho.

 Re: Piston is coming.
Prices start at 499.
The 'Performance' edition is 999.
Waste of time and money if you already have a computer.
Although I guess some people have to jump on the 'It's new and I need to have it!' Bandwagon.

 Re: Piston is coming.
Oh, also. The company that is making these is basing the 'Piston' off of it's Performance platform. So you're probably going to be paying more money than what it's worth.

 Re: Piston is coming.
For a hundred bucks or so I would buy one for my basement to put to my t.v. but at the prices they are, forget it my computer blows it out of the water.

 Re: Piston is coming.
I will say though, the Xi3 platform is pretty damn cool. I would actually consider buying an X7A if Xi3s website was working so I could price one out.
As far as piston goes though, meh. Don't care.
