 Pickle Parkway 85 mph Texas
For those that live in Austin do they even have troopers with speed traps on this highway?
I feel like this highway was built for me to get to my top speed. its just to hard to do around Chicago to many state troopers and to much traffic.

I heard they reduced the speed of the surrounding roads though so to make you take that highway which is a toll road.

I have never seen a trooper on that highway. It is definitely built for speed...long, straight, and nice flat pavement. Traffic is pretty light also.

What's sad is naming the fasted road in the country...Pickle Parkway.

They do, I've seen one or two, but never anyone pulled over.
Makes me REALLY wish I didn't sell my bike.

Sounds like our 407 Highway up here in Ontario. It's 5 lanes wide and don't even think of getting into the left two lanes if your not doing 80+ mph. I cruise in my work van around 80 and get passed constantly but there are Police cruising looking for people breaking the new 50 over the speed limit law.

Remember me giving the (female) state trooper shit about back to the future? Also, Jimmy (my brother) and Ronnie (uncle) have both been pulled over on that road a couple times.

Not till that new speed law happened and now it's big time money for them. Max $10,000 fine, 7 day impound of your vehicle and you pay the impound fees and towing. It's a serious amount of money in the end. If you were caught racing another car they keep both cars and sell them at auction.

We live in a F*CKING police state. When are people going to wake the F*CK up? Police, I mean the Gestapo, have no right to steal your property, especially for a victimless crime of speeding. They are nothing but jack-booted thugs. We should have laws for when people actually hurt someone/property, not the possibility of it. It's wrong when jack-booted thugs steal your property, just like it's wrong when any one steals something. Speeding should be a ticket, nothing more. Talk about disgusting.

Re: Pickle Parkway 85 mph Texas
Personally I think the car should just self regulate its own speed. Google cars can drive themselves, seems pretty simple to make the cars aware of the speed zone and not allow sustained operation above the posted limit.
The other thing that should be mandatory is a BAC tester on all vehicle ignition switches.
No more need for silly traffic cops.

No more need for silly traffic cops. Sounds like the kind of cars Hitler would have made people drive in Nazi Germany. Got any more fascist ideas?

No more need for silly traffic cops. Nah, we need natural selection. It's good for the progression of our species. (However it is sad when one of them takes out someone worth their weight in salt.)
