ok guys stop posting spoilers.. I kept my comment ambiguous as to not give shit away, but some of you are flat out telling people who dies and doesnt.. Not really cool.
I've gone through and edited the spoilers.. If you guys want to talk about things in detail then make a thread about it and CLEARLY MARK IT AS CONTAINING SPOILERS.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire (A.k.a: Game of Thrones)
I had my information incorrect about the 2nd season being half of book 2 and season 3 being the rest of book 2. It was season 3 that I read about which will be half of book 3 and then season 4 will be the rest. So if you've watched the first 2 seasons and want to see how similar the books are or vice versa then feel free since it won't spoil anything for you.
"Game of Thrones was renewed for a third season on April 11, 2012. The season premiere is currently set to air on March 31, 2013. The season will be ten episodes long and will adapt approximately the first half of A Storm of Swords."

I haven't seen this stuff but I am gonna read the books first, and then the fact that I read this stuff before Geno edited it might actually make some sense to me.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire (A.k.a: Game of Thrones)
I Love the show, makes me wanna read the book. I am beginning to prefer mini-series based on books rather than movies, usually a better movie, more movie, and it doesn't make book worms crawl around the internet posting complaints about shit the movie missed.
edit* a little disappointed that the advertising for season 2 claimed "WINTER IS COMING" i expected more winter.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire (A.k.a: Game of Thrones)
I started reading the book, and love it! I thought watching the series would take away some of the excitement, but it wasn't really that bad.
However, the "Winter is coming" phrase is the most annoying part of the book & the series.
Tyrion is the best. Go Imp!

I'm trying not to get attached to a character. Every time I do they F*CKING die.
