Damn right. F*CK basketball. It is a shitty rigged sport and all the players are pussies. You want to watch a real sport, watch hockey. At lease if that is rigged, you still get to see some bad ass fights. In basketball they call a foul if one guy walks too close to the other. F*CKING pu$$y bitches.

Idk dude hockey is starting to get iffy. The last Playoffs are perfect examples. The turnbuckle face mauling weber gave zetterberg ring a bell? Ohh its ok weber didnt mean to grab the back of his head and smash it into the glass. Poor Weber. OHH THAT GUY WAS 2 FEET AWAY FROM THAT GUYS HEAD BANZORS FOR 190000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 games.

Hali, what I'm saying is that I just don't see the value in fanaticism. When I was a teenager I was a fanatic about particular musicians but that quickly went away. I'm fanatical about local sports, when I'm in the sports or when someone I know is in the sport but that's it, and only if I'm actually in attendance. I remember the first time the Pats won the superbowl. I was right in the middle of a gigantic riot in the middle of Fenway/Gainsborough and people were lighting off firecrackers in the middle of the street despite the fact that it was packed with people and one dude got on top of a city trash can and started yelling out "YANKEES SUCK! YANKEES SUCK!" and it turned into a F*CKING chant with thousands of people screaming it for like 3 minutes straight until they got bored and started tipping cars over, killing the police chief's son in the process. Sport fanaticism sucks, just saying. There's a fine line between enjoyment and taking a thing too seriously where it ought not be taken seriously to begin with.

Fanaticism is perfectly acceptable in the sports world as long as your not a f*cking dick about it. You can cheer and be passionate about a team and players both positive and negative. Would I feel the same if I was talking to that person face to face? Probably not, but that is not a luxury that 99% of sports fans have, so we develop love and hatred for players in all the sports we like. Its when you take it too far to the point of tipping cars and rioting in the street that is wrong. Not just being passionate about your local team and players.

I agree that a certain level of fanaticism is acceptable. Acceptable, but not always appropriate. It's like there are millions of people around the country who care about little else besides their sports teams. That is what I find really stupid.

I think fanaticism is good, but like everything else in life certain people give it a bad name.
Fanaticism gives places like Boston (New England), New York and Philadelphia bad names.
