I like the Norse Mythology perspective of the creation, that the world is just the Rotting Corpse of a Orge the gods, (Thor Odin, Loki) came later. Now Orge, Alien does it matter. Nope either way life started somewhere. I like this creation story over the 'Christian' one because it is simple and tells you to not look so far in the past about where life came from

Its a good watch if your into he whole alien franchise. Im not a huge alien person but my Gf is so we went to go see it, Its starts off slow but it gets good, is it worth the 12 bucks tho, i would have to say No unless your a alien junkie

I liked what the writer had to say. Yeh, it's long-winded, but it makes some good theories and provides examples of the movie to validate them. It makes sense, altho, I did read somewhere that there was a civil war between the engineers?... I could be wrong, it was late. Either way, it was a good read.

i thought the movie was pretty decent but seriously the entire crew really annoyed me and i really hated the fact that 75% of the members actually had no point in the movie to other than A hate or B die. the acting was pretty awful IMO. everything else was pretty decent but there should definitely be more "engineers" or "bio-logical weapon" events in the movie. it seemed it could be shorter with more events to happen.

I agree...he provided some insight into the meanings behind the movie, but I shouldn't have to go online to read someone's explanation to understand a movie. Ridley Scott failed his audience with so many distracting elements that no one knew what to look for as far as an overall meaning.

after watching the movie, I read the first post. I didnt really know what to think about the movie. I didnt know if I liked it or not. I am still indifferent to it. There is no way in hell I would pay any amount of money to see this movie ( I downloaded it and am very happy I did). The slime jars are never explained. There are so many questions that go unanswered and there isnt much action with the engineers. If you like sci-fi, watch it. I would recommend reading that post first so you actually understand everything that is going on.

I loved the movie, but god I wish it was scary/tense. Had the horror though lol.

I thought it was the same stuff that brought life to a planet, and the astronate didnt get enough to kill him, and i dont think the makers planned on sex when your infected. IMO its just a mutations catalyst that the earth was started with. In the big picture hypothetically we all have like 1 atom of this black gue, and adding more to a gene pool/biosphere would cause further mutation all thoughout.

thats the problem with this stupid movie. I watched it and was confused about if I liked it or didnt like it. There was nothing in it that was like "WOW, what a good movie" and there was nothing that made me say "what a waste of time, shit movie." When someone makes a movie, they shouldnt have to write a book about it later to explain to EVERYONE what he was trying to say.
