Reputation only takes you so far, so even if Trayvon was a no-gooder it didn't mean he was 'up to no good' but maybe karma was just rolling along and it happened to be his turn to feel what it's like to have things catch up to you.

After Zimmerman followed Trayvon the dispatcher (A dispatcher is generally a non-sworn officer of the law AKA a civilian) said, "we don't need you to do that." Honestly out of my own safety I wouldn't of pursued as Zimmerman did however Zimmerman is an idiot. If his area is as lawless as the area that I work in I would suspect a police response time of about 15-45 minutes. In that amount of time Trayvon could of broken into a home and caused harm even death to an unknowing person. Was that Trayvon's intentions? Who is to say.



A close friend of mine fired his weapon upon an unarmed man while he was on duty as a police officer. He killed the guy and was cleared in the justified shooting. He is mentally screwed and I don't ever foresee him clearing his head from this. Shooting somebody in either self defense or the defense of others can sometimes be a thankless task, and sometimes it is emotionally and financially draining. Although I carry everyday I hope that I never have to use it. I also wouldn't consider following a person or placing myself into a dangerous situation. There is a good reason why I don't go to Detroit.
