46 seconds, skulk crawling on the window.
1:10, Marine firing at Lerk.
1:17, ARC driver/Commander.
1:32, Dead marine in the middle :(.
1:40, Marine.
1:45, Marine slow-motion kill.
2:23, First-Person marine shot and first-person shooting at the Lerk/Hive.
2:32, First-Person Skulk on the ceiling.


The game is highly stable now, with *most* of the tech advancements in. So if you preordered and want to play.. n00bfest now has an NS2 server at 4.79.145.139:27015. I'll see if I can get Fomenta to update the server page to reflect it. Come join us!

Can you run backwards yet or does it still make you walk really slow while backing up?

You can't go backwards at full speed. It's part of the gameplay design. It encourages you to strafe. One you get used to it, it's pretty powerful.

I am doing both, Purple. I've submitted some code, and have been leading the North-American Internal Playtesting for it for a year-and-a-half now.

Im sure ns is much cooler, but the 3rd person zoomed out looked really similar to alien swarm.

Hehe, NS has been around since 2002, so I doubt they got any pointers from AS, probably the other way around. I do love that game though quite alot. It's too bad they didn't have many maps.

It's one of those games that would probably be cool to play, but you have to be a jenius to understand how.

There's no linux dedicated server. At least this server will stay full all the time. To get really great performance, you've got to have a 5.0 ghZ box running the server. We're really working hard to get the lua/engine performance better. There are only 3 hosting companies that sell the dedicated servers and they don't allow command line access so that'd probably explain the other reason why.

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out pie. If you've ever played Starcraft, Age of Empires, C&C, etc. and Counter-Strike... you could figure this out. Haters just mad cause they can't figure it out.

I can't wait to play this. Loved the original (even tho marines always lost because some idiot jumped in the command pod and nobody would vote him out) and have been waiting for this since it was announced years ago.

It looks nice I am impressed.
