For the past couple of days, i have been problems with skyrim. it won't launch. i will launch it and the steam window will sit at "prepairing to launch: the elder scrolls V: skyrim" for quite literally, more than an hour. i've already talked to a couple of other people only to find the same thing.
now, i have searched the steam forums(general help section, skyrim section), Bethesda forums, asked a couple friends, etc. I have yet to find an answer. Crzyninja has given the best advice so far and that is you can apparently play in offline mode. BUT, being that i am a lazy F*CK and i like talking to you guys on steam, i don't want to do that.
so is there anything you all know about why skyrim has been unavailable to play for the last two days?

Re: skyrim launch
I had a similar problem once
Try this
1)In your steam library right click skyrim
2)Choose proerties
3)Local Files tab at the top
4)Verify integrity of game cache
