 Re: Vermont
I live in Maine which is about a 4 hour drive east. I get between a 40 and a 60 ping when I have so-so internet. I have gotten as low as 30 on better internet though. The server is in Texas which means that Vermont being closer to Texas than Maine, theoretically your average ping (internet notwithstanding) would be better than mine.

 Re: Vermont
It also deals on your ISP routing....I swear I am cursed with shitty routing
I am in ND which is closer to Texas than both Maine and Vermont and I am happy just to get 80 ping.

 Re: Vermont
I believe that the voracity with which these Canucks defend their maple syrup industry is audacious. Living in a state that is one of the most popular maple syrup producers in the world (Canadians come HERE just to buy it), I can attest that as far as popularity goes, Maine is pretty much on par with the best because it is so. Having had various syrups, the quality doesn't come from a specific region as it does from a particular producer who has just the right processes to produce the highest flavor and consistency.
The only argument you Canucks can make to this is that about half of Maine is Canadian.
