I've been playing the n00bfest regular CS:S server for a couple of weeks now. Just wanted to drop in and say hi and that I love the server. I haven't played much CS:S since BC2 came out, so my game is a little rusty. I was writing BC2 articles for GameReplays.org for few months, but I started getting the itch again. No...not the itch that requires a six-week treatment...I digress.

You guys do a great job of policing the server and keeping the game interesting. A few years ago I played with a clan called -=ART=- (Armed Response Team). They were a cool bunch of dudes, but it seemed like every time I played it turned into a try-to-kill-the-AWP-experts game. The whole damn clan would always go to the team that had the advantage on the map and camp it up with AWPs...and nearly every one of them was good with it. Made the game boring after a while.

After getting tired of that I joined the clan I'm in now, Corporate Killers. We all had kinda gotten bored with regular CS:S so we ran a pretty popular GG server for a couple of years. When MW2 and BC2 came out membership started to dwindle and we eventually shut down the server. We still game together and they are really good friends of mine, but it's not like it was.

I don't want to join n00b, just wanted to come say hi and introduce myself. Hopefully I'll get to see you guys some more in the n00bfest server. Lots of good players show up to play on it; makes it a nice challenge.

ps...I just loaded my normal sig from my clans forums, if you don't like that the Corporate Killers URL is there just let me know and I'll edit that out of the sig for these forums.

You can keep the URL there; it doesn't hurt my feelings. Glad you enjoy the server! Out of curiosity, where in TX are you located? I'm in central TX and we have a lot of n00bfest members from around here.

I'm from Stephenville. My best friend lives in Lampasas, and another good friend in Killeen. I was down in Georgetown with them playing golf not too long ago. I saw that you guys are having a meet up. That's really cool. I always wanted to meet my clan mates, but most all of them live in Illinois, Michigan and Canada. Bunch of damn dope smokin, muffler stealin yankees lol.

Yeah, a lot of the folks who are coming out to the meet-up are flying in or driving a good distance. I think the farthest person away who is coming lives in Portland, OR. I occasionally meet up with n00bs on vacations. Earlier this year I was in Portland and kicked it with a fellow n00b member; last year a n00b member picked me up from the airport in Baltimore and we drove all over (Baltimore -> DC -> eastern Delaware [where we stayed with another n00b for a few days] -> Reading, PA [where we stayed with another n00b] -> Philly).

It's a good, solid bunch of dudes we have here.

I think I remember you in-game earlier getting an awp and using it. After an admin/member warning you to drop it due to motd rules, you did and haven't used it since... other people, not so much.

I don't think I used an AWP. There isn't one listed in my psychostats. I don't like using them because I'm not very good with them, and I don't think they are quite fair.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Had a good time playing last night. Saw a nice picture of coach in the bathtub. Played pretty well except for on F*CKIN piranesi. I've never gotten the hang of that map. My fave is prodigy. Starting to not hate train so much. Can't stand dust. Hate it with a burning passion.

What maps do you guys like/dislike most?

Side note: is that chelsea player for real? That guy/girl is insane.

Chelsea is for real. He pretty much lives/breathes CS. He doesn't hack, we promise. :)

I actually hate prodigy. It's a good map for small groups, but not with a full 28 man server.
Season and Cbble are my favorites.
