this new update is bullshit. This is step 1 into slowly turning CS into COD lame ass bullshit which will be complete when that terribad global offensive comes out. Notice the similarities, the fat cross hairs (notice how big they get when u jump just like CoD) and a plethora of other things such as the aiming system itself that are strikingly similar to COD. U see the more players there are in a game the more noob the general population is and the worse the game itself gets. Take WoW for instance, the old days of RoC and BC were the best by far, remember when 5-man instances could actually be a challenge and u couldnt roll through them with 4 ppl and a F*CKING mage AOEing the whole place to shit and getting away with it? Or take BCs endgame content SP (Sunwell Plateau) the hardest instance there ever was in comparison to the levels n shit, blizz said they would never make end-game instance that hard ever again... I could go on and on about how WoW has been ruined to shit because of terribad noobs but this is the CS forum so we shall talk some CS here. OK, like i saiod this new update is F*CKING bullshit CS is an old ass game and hasnt been updated in years what is the point? theres an underlying reason, these game companies know that the vast majority of all gamers r now noobs to feed into this noobishness they turn what could b great games into half-assed works that will satisfy these clowns and keep the money rolling in, just keep it coming baby thats all they care about, Dignity = dead.

Or take Dragon Age for instance, LAWL what an easy F*CKING joke of a game, just get 2 mages tank and rogue (only need rogue for lockpicking and door opening) and fireball the shit out of everything and the game is easy on NIghtmare mode. Think about the prequel to Dragon Age.... BALDURS GATE 2! now theres a hard ass F*CKING good ass game (notice no noobs played games than because games werent in the mainstream) That game takes TONS of deaths, serious ass strategy and time thinking and u get a great sense of accomplishment when u finally take down jon irenicus IN HELL! there will never be games like that ever again, because of all these noobs that would cry and would flat out refuse to take the time to figure out any kind of good strategy or skill developing (DURR ILL JUST PLAY DRAGON AGE AND FIREBALL EVERYTHING HERP DERP SO FUN!!!!)

Honestly, I don't mind the update. Sure, it makes it more like CoD, but whatever. It's still CS:S. I'm still going to play it. Nothing's going to change there. And hey guess what? It's still fun.

I know this thread is kinda old, but I'm gonna post anyway.

As far as the recent update goes...up until about a month ago I hadn't played CSS for eight or nine months, but it doesn't really feel much different to me. CSS is still a lot harder than just about any other fps out right now. You still have to be pretty fast and accurate to win a firefight head-to-head. If you were good at CSS before the update you should still be good now. I'd like to see exactly how accuracy has changed from pre-update. Most all of the changes they made were good ones.
