Ridley Scott is directing this at least so I'm pumped to see it especially with the graphics these days...although no one can top this scene...like tears in rain!

I tried to watch Blade Crawler once with my roommate and his brother. I'll have to venture into it again sometime.

Loved the 80s version, and loved the video game by Westwood Studios! Don't think it'll be quite as good as the original as the script was tailored after "Do Androids Dream of Sheep", which I've read. It's a very dystopian-related, and I think the time for the dystopian related novels and mivies have passed, personally. The reality of it happening has to be there 100% and you've got to be able to say to yourself while watching or reading, "Damn, I think this could really happen one day!" or you'll find yourself extremely bored waiting for the end.

In summary, I think it was best captured back then as it was a time hardcore dystopian movies were around (Terminator, which is gradually getting worse and worse each new installment, is a great example of how dystopian-based films are kind of failing without extremely overdone CGI, ie: Tron Legacy which had a shitty storyline, but awesome CGI)

i am pretty sure that blade runner is one of if not the best example of the neo noir genre. If ridley scott is making a new movie with the same themes of that genre i for one would be very happy to go see it. It would be a welcome change of pace from courtroom dramas or summer action blockbusters. I believe if ridley scott lets the screenplay breathe and not try and change it like he did with robin hood, then it should be a wonderful movie. and a added plus with all the modern CGI enhancements they can really bring that world to life!
