What doesn't it do?
After smoking for awhile I began picture-framing, where it was like seeing the world in strobe lights. Of course music and movies were 10x better, seeing/feeling music > hearing music.

The fact that you have makes you less intelligent than myself. Because that was TOTALLY intelligent to say. And to imply that you know me enough to make that assumption... that is laughable. one wrote: f**k you potheads, if your weed is legal, i want my mdma and my cocaine to be legal.. only in the privacy of your own home of course Sorry, one, but I disagree. Firstly, you, sir, can take your pothead comment and shove it up your ass. And nextly, your X and your blow are manufactured drugs as opposed to an all- natural weed (that some people like to refer to as an herb). The difference is clear. AND, marijuana is not addicting (delta9tetrahydrocannabinol does not bond with your DNA, whiich is the definition of addiction) nor dangerous whereas Cocaine and MDMA both have high risks involved in abusing them and coke is HELLA addicting. If anyone tries to say that pot is addicting, we'll all laugh at you after I throw the proof in your face. Rokatanski wrote: i self medicate. And I can only hope that the dumbasses will cull more of themselves out of the gene pool. That is too damn true, AngryKitten. Dumbasses get dumber and smart people get smarter. Couldn't have said it better m'self. Ryan wrote: Quote: Example: "Marijuana: good for curing cancer, the clap, erectile dysfunction, autism and the bubonic plague since the Garden of Eden. Otherwise, I'm not against people using it. I choose not to, but people should be able to choose what they want to do within the boundaries of not harming anyone else. LOL. You, Ryan, are a funny guy. I was obviously joking with that sentence. :P joke is on you now, friend. And marijuana has been proven to treat the symptoms of many illnesses including glaucoma, fibro myalgia, cancer and the chemotherapy associated with it, and any other painful illnesses. How can the government allow people to smoke tobacco, but make something else that grows the same way illegal? Alcohol does more damage than smoking pot ever will, end of story. I, as well, am not down with chemicals being legalized as they have much higher chances of something going wrong on them (addiction, overdose, freaking the F*CK out, etc). Tobacco is the same as pot (both plants and intoxicants) with the exception of high carcinogens, nicotine, and the countless additives the companies pump into the tobacco. So naturally, pot should be legal before tobacco should be legal on health benefits alone. Alcohol is clearly more damaging than pot since it is addicting, harmful to the liver, and exponentially more dangerous to do anything on than pot. There are thousands and thousands of alcohol- related deaths a year in the U.S. alone. There are NO marijuana- related deaths a year in the U.S. (unless some AFRICAN AMERICAN got shot for trying to short a mother F*CKER). MIKE wrote: Deepslit wrote: What doesn't it do?

It's true that the majority of marijuana users don't get addicted, but it's definitely possible and does happen sometimes. It's most likely to happen if the user is already addicted to other substances, though...and there's also a distinction between physical addiction (which I'm not sure can happen with marijuana) and psychological dependency.
Still, it makes no sense for weed to be illegal and tobacco to be legal.

I saw a program on the History channel I believe which explained that weed was made illegal a long time ago because of the influx of Mexicans crossing over the borders and taking jobs back in the early 1900s. Marijuana was looked at like a mexican drug so they made it illegal thinking that the mexicans would go home. Shows how much they know.
Personally, most Americans who smoke weed are F*CKING morons, at least the college kids that do. Last year I had to live with a few potheads, one of which flunked out his first semester because he was baked on our couch everyday.
Seriously, Americans don't know how to control themselves and are not responsible enough to use it in the privacy of their own homes and because of that it will remain illegal.
Potheads who go on and on about weed are just as annoying as religious pricks who feel it's necessary that everyone has to believe everything they believe.
Personally, I don't know how these people afford the stuff. Most of it isn't worth the money anyway.

You read my mind. Marijuana is not, by any means, capable of producing a physical dependency. Tobacco, alcohol, cocaine, opiates, and barbiturates all create harsh physical addictions if abused (or if your genetics so dictate, it can only take one cig or one time getting drunk, etc). Marijuana is, however, one of the easiest drugs to become obsessed with (that is, mentally desiring the drug as opposed to craving it out of addiction)... I can attest.
I do agree with you, though. Good post.

Clearly you are the mad one, pointing out and making personal attacks on every anti-marijuana post in the thread. (Yes, you may call what I said a personal attack, I prefer to call it fact.) Judicator wrote: Still, it makes no sense for weed to be illegal and tobacco to be legal.
That doesn't mean right away that marijuana should be legalized. On the contrary, tobacco should be made illegal.

I'm not making any normative statements as to whether or not tobacco/marijuana should be legal/illegal, I just think they should have the same status.

iI agree with this being a former pothead cant smoke anymore because I am in the navy. Weed should be tolerated just as much as alcohol is I can smoke weed and drive perfectly fine I might be driving slow as shit but im sure as hell not swerving all over the road. You can get angry with alcohol with all of the weed I have smoked and all the people I have smoked with I have never seen someone get angry while smoking weed.

Salt and protein are both necessary to life. Go ahead and throw alcohol on the ban list. I personally don't support sex before love/marriage, so that can go too, and porn is not necessary.
Organizations (n00bfest) are protected under Canadian legislation, so go ahead and make it illegal and move the servers closer to me. =]

Smoke anything, for a teenager (when usually he/she face this options) tells me whether that person really cares about him/herself. I've never smoke.
A couple drinks don't hurt, though...
