People, I been wanting to build my own Desktop(because It's cheaper and better) can someone please tell me how to., cuz I know many people here are expert in that area.

Consider this:

I have absolutely NO idea how to start.

I would LOVE a step by step walkthrough...

if you can plug in a lamp you can build a computer.

just list your parts here and we'll tell you what your missing.

www.tomshardware.com has great articles for picking quality cost effective parts.

yeah.. i see no reason to go anywhere else but newegg.com. they have everything you could need. weather you wanna build a barebones rig for your grandma or the sickest most smokin' amazing orgasmic system you'll ever set eyes on, go to newegg.com. their shipping is second to none and 9 times out of 10, they have the best price for any given item.

Initially I thought newegg would be a better deal but on a lot of stuff going to fry's and buying it in store was cheaper because shipping a case from Newegg is like $20.

If you can read a manual, you can build a computer. Start with a case, then a systemboard then your guts.

It's rather simple.

Ya, its tax.
Sadly, they have a shipping depot in my state (NJ) so I need to pay tax, but I get my stuff in less than 2 days, usually.
:D

1: What is this computer gonna be used for?
2: Research parts that you will need to fulfill it's purpose. (Gaming, office work, ..)
3: Snap together. Building basic computers is a sinch. Everything fits only in the place it belongs, so you cannot really f**k up. Good luck and do not electrocute yourself.
