as far as deporting them that would be way to costly all we really would have to do is enforce the laws we have on the table and go after the companies that employee them. if you got a $50K fine for having an illegal work for you and it was enforced the illegals would leaving the country in groves or they would be trying to become citizens.

another thiing this country really needs immigration reform its crazy to think we live in an era that information gotten and found in just a few clicks of the mouse from all over the world and it takes 10 years to get a green card that is a lil rediculas to me. immigration should be streamlined should be easier and quicker to become a national citizen.

I think the way it works, is first you have to have a Visa for a certain amount of years, then another Visa I think? And then a green card for X amount of years and another after that for a longer amount of time. THEN you get your citizenship card. And each time you try to move up the ladder, it costs more money. I think that that's the major deterrent in illegals becoming legal. They don't have the money for a Visa, but they can't work in the U.S. to get that money.
