I don't know if this is just me, and I definitely don't have a clue how to fix it, but when people write long posts I have to scroll right to read them, is there a way to automatically either:

-hide the left menus, or scroll right by default when on the forums

OR

-wrap the text to fit into one window?

It's weird, because it seems to only do it on certain pages (for example, the first page of this topic I have to scroll right, but this page I don't.)

Scrolling to the right issue:
This is something we need to address with regard to people's sigs or avatars. An oversized sig or avatar shifts the table out of whack.

Little black box:
Shotokan and I talked about this one earlier and we'll have to experiment with it. I've tried changing my resolution to all 3 of those mentioned with the problem and I still dont see the box. Probably need to adres the fonts that are not included in the CSS and lock everything down to set sizes so we can eliminate this and all related issues. Look for this to be resolved by 3.1 beta. :-)

Corpse is right. When someone has a avatar or sig to wide it really messes up the table making a lot of weird things like having to scroll to the right or even sometimes messing the entire page. We might need to keep an eye on those sigs and avatars and ask people to fix them.

Because this side has a little less space available comparing to the old one those wide sigs/avatars do make difference.

As per as removing the left side menus this is possible and me and Corpse have talked about that but for now he really want them to be there.

I was about to post this...at first it was kind of fun, but just going through doing the membership list stuff right now I heard that little beep thing about 20 times.

Also, is n00bfest mail still accessible?

The webmail is not currently available in it's old format. Mail can still be retrieved using a pop3 email client for the time being. I would like to see a good webmail interface soon, but it will take time to develop.

Yes, the flash noise gets old after you hear it 42,329 times. I should have learned that from v2, but it seemed like such a little tiny noise that it couldn't possibly become annoying. I was wrong.

I haven't talked to Shotokan about hacking that bit of code yet. I'll take a look at the layout and see if it's something that can be done relatively easily.

Maybe i am confused about the web-mail thing but the n00b HORDE and SQUIRRELMAIL still available through this site.

If you go to the "Site Navigation Menu" on your left side and click on the "Members" you will note another set of menu options there and one of them is the n00b web-mail.

Here is a direct link http://n00bfest.com/modules.php?name=n00b_webmail -> Give it a try.

More stuff!

-One of my favorite forum features are gone. The you have __ unread messages that use to be at the bottom. I remember when I barley got an PM's I forgot to check but when I saw that there it helped. It also helps save time. Maybe a look into it?

-The drop down menu that says full section overlaps is frame.

-When you go to the members tab and all the other ones when you hold your mouse over it. You get almost a yellow, maybe enrich it to the orange in rest of the website.

Two things from me:

1. The damn "administrate these forums" button!

2. Like Pinoy said, change the color of the quoted text and "post a reply" text. Perhaps a more n00bish color, such as yellow or orange.

Other than that, looks great.

Edit:

Actually, another. Do we have to have the

Twice? Or can we limit it to just the main page bottom and leave the forum naked?

Tucker

The forums administration now is not from the Forumks anymore like i mentioned to your before on the PM. You have been given administrator right to the entire site so you can access the control panel where the Forums Admis is.

Corpse will be sending you the username and password so you can do your admin stuff.

As for the colors it can be changed but I think it has to be a concensus of all or a order form the boss LOL.. if you know what i mean.

Regarding the credit part being twice is because they are two different things meaning the Site and the Forums so you can have themes/skins from different people there so it's a change to give credit for both but in our case the site and forums came from the same source. I can remove if this will make you happier.
