 Deer Camp Update #1 (slaughterama)Three days in and only two deer. The spike is my buddy's and the 4 point is mine. I got the four point this morning and the spike was taken the 15th. Now I just got to get my girlfreind a deer and the freezer is full. Oh yeah the backstraps are amazing!
Corpse, this will be the first year that I tan the hides and process my own deer. Not that good for a trophy, but the meat makes up for it. Thats the only reason I hunt deer, for their damn jerky.
I usually see alot of those type of bucks where I hunt, the puny antlers, but I always let them go so their rack will get bigger. I'm glad women ain't like that, let them go so their rack will get bigger.. _________________

you must be somewhere in northwest. when i used to leave in Seattle, the native indians sold the deer meat to me. have fun while you are there. i don't see any deer in SoCal.

Nice I cant wait for next year im going to a army reserve base a couple hours from lemoore CA, they are supose to have some pretty good white tail. But im mainly going to try and get some coyotes so I can make some money.

I'm in the thumb of michigan. I don't hunt for antlers or for a trophy. I hunt for meat and if the deer has bigger antlers, then oh well. I would prefer to shoot only 1-2 year old deer, they generally taste much better.
