mouse sensativity
Is it better to have your mouse sensativity up or down?

Men this is really hard to say like that and will depend some times on the type/model of mouse you have.
As much higher you set the most mobility you will have in the game but more difficult to AIM and the other way around as lower you set the more precision aiming but lot difficult to move/turn.
I hope it helps.

High sensitivity = short range is better.
Lower sensitivity = long ranger bettter.

Sensitivity is just a preference. I play with 1, my friend plays with 20.

Do you actually change your sensitivity depending on the map you play?

I could see that helping.
Could you like, bind "c" sensitivty 1 and bind "v" sensitivity 9?
Or something like that?

It also depends alot on your mouse, for example you can change the logitech g5's mouse sensitvity on the mouse meaning that a "5" sensitivity for one person could equal a "20" for a different person.

This is what I have to manage my sensitivity set in game:
alias "sup" "sen1"
alias "sdn" "sen95"
alias "sen1" "sensitivity 1.0; alias sup sen15; ECHO Sensitivity 1.0; dev0"
alias "sen15" "sensitivity 1.5; alias sup sen2; alias sdn sen1 ; ECHO Sensitivity 1.5"
alias "sen2" "sensitivity 2; alias sup sen25; alias sdn sen15; ECHO Sensitivity 2.0"
alias "sen25" "sensitivity 2.5; alias sup sen3; alias sdn sen2; ECHO Sensitivity 2.5"
alias "sen3" "sensitivity 3; alias sup sen35; alias sdn sen25; ECHO Sensitivity 3.0"
alias "sen35" "sensitivity 3.5; alias sup sen4; alias sdn sen3; ECHO Sensitivity 3.5"
alias "sen4" "sensitivity 4; alias sup sen45; alias sdn sen35; ECHO Sensitivity 4.0"
alias "sen45" "sensitivity 4.5; alias sup sen5; alias sdn sen4; ECHO Sensitivity 4.5"
alias "sen5" "sensitivity 5; alias sup sen55; alias sdn sen45; ECHO Sensitivity 5.0"
alias "sen55" "sensitivity 5.5; alias sup sen6; alias sdn sen5; ECHO Sensitivity 5.5"
alias "sen6" "sensitivity 6; alias sup sen65; alias sdn sen55; ECHO Sensitivity 6.0"
alias "sen65" "sensitivity 6.5; alias sup sen7; alias sdn sen6; ECHO Sensitivity 6.5"
alias "sen7" "sensitivity 7; alias sup sen75; alias sdn sen65; ECHO Sensitivity 7.0"
alias "sen75" "sensitivity 7.5; alias sup sen8; alias sdn sen7; ECHO Sensitivity 7.5"
alias "sen8" "sensitivity 8; alias sup sen85; alias sdn sen75; ECHO Sensitivity 8.0"
alias "sen85" "sensitivity 8.5; alias sup sen9; alias sdn sen8; ECHO Sensitivity 8.5"
alias "sen9" "sensitivity 9; alias sup sen95; alias sdn sen85; ECHO Sensitivity 9.0"
alias "sen95" "sensitivity 9.5; alias sdn sen9; ECHO Sensitivity 9.5; dev0"
PS: All these "ECHO" crap is not working anymore since STEAM came along
Then you just bind like that for instance:
bind "UPARROW" "sup"
bind "DOWNARROW" "sdn"
After that you basically can use your arrow up and down and change your sensitivity by .5 each time and find what suits you better

i like high personally. i like being able to turn around real fast, and i just have to be a bit careful when i go long...
like they said what equals a 5 for me might be a 20 on you, since you can set up your mouses sensativity out of game, and the F*CK with it more in game. like they said its all personal preference
pick whatever feels good and run with it man

I personally would never change my sensitivity from 3 (with default mouse settings) I have learned to aim long distances and just move the mouse slower to aim, but also have the mobility to do a 180+. It is all preference, but don't change your sensitivity, because it just screws up your ability to aim.

What kicked says is true.. don't change your sensitivity/crosshair size/resolution just because someone else does well with it.. it'll just hurt you in the long run. Stick with what you have and get better with it.
Unless you use 20 sensitivity, then you gotta change it!

I had to... "Unless you use 20 sensitivity, then you gotta change it!"
And i do use 20 Sensitivity with a Microsoft Intellipoint explorer 3.0
I've owned other mouses, but this one is just perfect eventhough it has a few yrs out on the market.
