Ya, I read about this a month or so ago in my school paper. I really don't see the whole point in all this, we already pay for cable/dsl/56k whatever to get access, and this will only further limit our speeds. That Christopher Yoo 'professor' is a damn moron. Saying people pay for overnight delivery on FedEx packages, so people should be willing to pay extra for faster website connections is just rediculous. Compare the number of items one uses overnight delivery with the amount of time we spend on websites.

Basically, smaller companies with websites will go down the shitter, while greater corporations rise to the top. Extra taxes for websites will slow their loadup time to anyone who views them, no matter the speed, and speed up those who pay their amount on time and with interest. Since Myspace uses alot of bandwith I presume, it would take much longer to load up pages than it already does.

I'm not too sure about the Stealth Tax, but my school paper talked about another payment like we make just to have cable internet. It would be a second payment allowing/limiting access to many websites based on the bundle we purchase. Simil;ar to T.V. packages, you get basic cable, satellite, or the box with 400+ channels. Corporate America at it's best looking to screw it up for the rest of us.
