in terms of historical accuracy, only the first twenty minutes of saving private ryan are actually dead on accurate.

but it is one of my favorite movies, i actually just watched it two days ago. other noteables are:

schindler's list, life is beautiful, we were soldiers, deer hunter, jarhead, full metal jacket, platoon, hunt for red october, tears of the sun, and a ton of others i can't think of off the top of my head.

Schindler's List is good, no doubt, but I wouldn't call it a "military" movie.

either is life is beatiful but i figured their relevance to war/history seemed ok, considering the ordeal did have to do with war and the likes, good movies none the less.

Remember when the SS officers found the one armed worker, and they were like "come with us!" and he was like "ok!" and then BOOMHEADSHOT.

Saving Private Ryan was really good but I like the vietnam era movies like Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now: Redux.

Yeah Full Metal Jacket was one of the best Vietnam war movies ever. But I like watching World War II movies..Like Schindler's List and Enemy at the gates.. I'd be shouting "Boom headshot that stupid Nazi!" while watching. The gayest war movie that i've seen was...Pearl Harbor.

If I actually had to pick a movie, I'd definitely say Full Metal Jacket. Braveheart would come second, and then Saving Private Ryan.

Watching Jarhead right now, it's not too bad.

Black Hawk Down never gets old. SPR can at times, and then out of the blue I'll be like 'OMG, I have to watch that movie now.' Although it's not a military movie, I liked the war film American History X. Curb stomping ftw.

It wasn't really supposed to be entertaining. It was just a story about a soldier's experience during war.

To some people a good story is entertainment.

Band of Brothers is the shit, but i'd say we were soldiers is my fav war movie. mel gibson is such a bad ass. WORST WAR MOVIE would have to be Anapolis, and Pearl Harbor, and The Great Raid
