n00bfest.com GUI 1.6 Released
A new version of the n00bfest GUI is out. This has tons of improvements, fixes, and new features! After Steam broke Mani-Admin Mod a couple months ago, it also broke the GUI's appearance. I've fixed it, and added more features as well as removed some broken features. I also added a surprise in the main menu. There's also a little difference in the artwork to include the version and information about the GUI. Finally, I fixed the extremely large grey backdrop on the HUD that broke when the update came along. There's a lot of new stuff in this version, so go check it out! To read the latest changes, screenshots, download archived versions, and more information on the GUI click HERETo download the newest version (1.6) click HEREIf you're a MAC user, click HEREDon't forget to check out the GameBanana submission page at http://www.gamebanana.com/guis/25799. Have fun!

Re: n00bfest.com GUI 1.6 Released
When you download the GUI, if you're running Windows, all you need to do is double-click the install file. If you are on a MAC, the you want to install the contents of the MAC folder manually. If you need more help, please feel free to catch me in our Ventrilo server.

Check http://www.electricimpulse.net/projects/n00bfestgui/ in about 20 minutes for full instructions. You can always catch me in Ventrilo and I'd be more than happy to assist you in the installation of the GUI.

Acid you are the best! Once I have time to check this out (tonight if I'm lucky), I'll let you know if I find any bugs. However, the last couple versions worked for me without any issues, and I expect this to be the same quality :)

Re: n00bfest.com GUI 1.6 Released
I previously noticed a problem with source stopping/freezing for periods of time up to 2 full minutes. at first, i thought it was something wrong with something that I downloaded from a different server, as it had happened before. I deleted my scripts, sounds, materials and models folders because that should be the only folders housing anything foreign. i also changed the name of my config so it would be like im starting over again fresh without actually having to reinstall. After i removed those files, it acted normal. no crashing and no freezing. I then re loaded the gui in and for some reason, there is something in the gui that causes my system to freeze so i had to uninstall it. :-/

Re: n00bfest.com GUI 1.6 Released
Try reinstalling the GUI and remove "scoreboard.res" from the folder. Let me know if this fixes the issue you are having. There are no modifications to the engine, so I could only imagine that your system doesn't like the scoreboard overlay. The fact that you've had this problem before also makes me wonder if it's the GUI. Let me know what happens after you remove that file.
