Howdy folks. I've just got a few updates to give you.

First off, we know that Ventrilo is down. I'm working on getting it back up ASAP. Please be patient. We're also looking at some other voice software (stuff that's much more feature-rich than Ventrilo). Fomenta has been screwing around with some of it, and we may pull some of you into a sort-of closed beta test. One of the big advantages to using something other than Ventrilo is that we can host it ourselves. We can't host a ventrilo server -- you've got to go through a reseller for that sort of thing, and not only does that cost extra money, but it adds an extra gap between the dev/IT staff and the server... meaning that if we have problems with Ventrilo, we have to wait for our reseller to answer the ticket instead of fixing it ourselves. That sort of thing just plain-old sucks, especially when we've got an extremely smart and resourceful dev/IT staff.

Secondly, I want to thank all of the Council members for the great job that they've been doing. You guys have pushed through a lot of changes to our backend processes and they seem to be working out. You guys rock.

Oh, and thank you to all who have donated and will donate. Without you guys, we wouldn't be able to keep the lights on. Every last penny is greatly appreciated. We will be holding a tournament very soon, and we will be using the donation surplus from last month to give out prizes. We haven't exactly figured out what we're going to give out, but we know that prizes will go to the winning team, and we've decided to throw in a couple of wildcards (for hilarious/awesome things). That means that even if you suck, you'll still stand a chance at winning something. Once high figures out when he's going to host the tournament, the details will be posted. Look for that to be coming some time this month.

Thanks Gman. We used "mumble" at the Council meeting tonight....the ventrilo...replacement. Even I figured it out and its very clear.

What about using Teamspeak 3! I know some people who used it in COD 4 and MW2 and they seemed to like it alot better than Vent!
