Re: New First Sun website
So far, so good.
Someone used a lighting effect on the logo and the words "electronic artist", that's about all I know went into the design of the page. :P

Re: New First Sun website
Actually I'm right. It's not the logo or the words themselves, it's the grainy background and in that one spot it has a lighting effect.
If that's not a signature photoshop lighting effect I don't know what it is. Maybe CSS lets you do weird shit like that but I'm not an HTML guru.
The design of the page is fappable though.

Re: New First Sun website
The page looks amazing! Great design, easy to navigate, and you've made it extremely easy for people to purchase your music or get in contact with you, which is always important.
The only thing I don't like is that the email button opens outlook. I don't have outlook email set up on my personal computer because I don't use it. I'd list your email in your blurb above all of the buttons as well, that way it is easy to find.

Re: New First Sun website
Yeah, this is based on what you've selected to handled your email. If you have Outlook installed, it'll take control of all email links. Since I don't have a mail managing program installed, mine goes directly to Gmail.
I've included the website and my direct email link on the site. How's that?

Re: New First Sun website
@Sweet Pea, he has his email listed (maybe he just put it in after you changed it lol...yep, he did) and the 'mailto:' function that the email button activates is pretty much the de facto standard operation for an email button to do, lol.
And what he said.

Re: New First Sun website
Werd, I'm at work right now and we do have Outlook, so I figured it would automatically do it at home as well. I think I have it set up differently at home. I'll check it out though.
Much better though, nice job!

Re: New First Sun website
Looks real smooth, I like it. The only problem that jumped out to me is the ad section, something is glitching so the ad is cut off and the g+ info is over it: Don't know if it's just my settings or if other people have the problem too. I'm using Chrome, fwiw. And it's just the ad space, so whatever...

Re: New First Sun website
I know about that issue, I'm just too lazy to apply a new ad to fix it. I guess I'll do it now.

Looked around the rest of the site, only one thing to add and it's a byproduct of my OCD so feel free to ignore it...but at least with my settings there's a kind of awkwardly large gap at the bottom of the pages between the content and the footer. Huge deal... It's a great site though, how long did you take to set it up? Did you do the WP install yourself, or do you have a host?

Re: New First Sun website
Nah, I did all of it myself. The reason there's a huge gap between the content and footer is because eventually there will be more than one post on the site and it should fill it up automagically. If it doesn't I may have to edit the page source.
