Let me first say, I dont i have a clue about servers!
But would it be possible to have like capture the flag wed or surfin thur. Would that be to hard to do? to easy? not worth it?
If someone with the knowledge on this please reply.
I'm just throwing an idea out there.
Oh and if you guys need help with anything I'm just chilling at a wtu right now getting fixed so i have ALOT of time on hands right now.

Not used at all with servers either, but everytime we had a new one (elite, deathmatch, etc.), it always lasted for a couple of weeks until the server died forever.

I'm not sure it would be worth a shot.

Thats what Im saying just keep changing it up, so it never gets old.

it's possible, but it would require running several event scripts based on chronological events. the issue is the more scripts you have running, the more unstable and laggy the server becomes. i used to run a couple gun game servers that were customized with sounds, weapons, gravity, etc. based on map selections and player votes triggers by chat commands i created. there is a lot of room for customization, but the recent updates to CSS over the last couple of years have made these types of customizations more difficult and less stable. thank valve for screwing up the most customizable FPS on the planet.

No problem guys. Scripting is fun, it's kind of like programming. It can be time consuming and taxing on a server during times of testing (cause it tends to piss people off), but if you can get Tue results you are looking for, and the players like it, it can pay off big time. Personally, I'm very disappointed that the ability to perform heavy scripting has been hindered. And I am not confident it will be something we can do much with when CS:GO hits the market.

A buddy of mine wrote a script I occasionally use (memorized aliases), but haven't in a while that allows me to switch weapons so fast it doesn't even look like I switch.

Obviously not the same kind of script, but LOL. It was good way back when quickscoping was ridic.

I did something similar but as a macro to my mouse so it would "qq" for the awp with One of my extra mouse buttons. But I don't awp really so it's not that useful.



But I must say, it's not the same kind of script either lol
