Post Counter-Strike/Condition Zero
Anyone here still play the original Counter-Strike or Condition Zero? I just got them (You can get both for $5 right now on Steam) and it gets boring playing with random people.

What I like about CZ is the single player. I know n00b started on CZ but I kind-of prefer Source over CZ but only for the way chance encounters occur. If you don't continue to play until I'm back into gaming (i.e. in possession of a gaming rig), well, shit.

I think CZ is better than 1.6 but there are some things I prefer in Source. I do think however, that the game has been nerfed into oblivion, and the most recent 'good' version was CS 1.3 because you had to know how to play just to get a F*CKING kill.

there were other changes too, like grenades doing more damage in a smaller radius and NOT going through ever wall on the map. A lot of the retarded spam spots were taken out as well. I also liked the cz maps a lot more... especially d2. most servers didnt allow the riotshield, and im pretty sure 1.6 had a tank of a riot shield... at least you could shoot feet in cz (could be wrong)

I enjoy the CZ map layouts too, and the AI of the hostages is second to none. Bitches would run away if you didn't try to rescue them fast enough, just ballsy ass hosties.

I loved CZ. Still miss the good old days when I used to play. The public environment of CZ was really chill and fun, unlike 1.6 which was clogged with hackers and faggots.

I will always look towards 1.6 as a competitive platform, but CZ is where I used to call home to my public escapades, the community was just better. I felt like I knew almost every cz player.

CZ has a major 1up on 1.6 with its better texture sounds, but the fat ass models were lame(always had to download 1.6 models) and i enjoy the 1.6 spam spots.

I personally enjoyed Cz. I thought it was a great transition from 1.6 and I think turtle rock did a damn good job.
