And of course, the map downloads takes about a minute give or take. Then when I'm ready to play, it loads the whole bar, and then tells me my map is different from the servers. The one that the server made me download. What kinda shit is that?

I think it could be because I'm playing on a mac. But I went to a few gungame rooms with other n00bs last night and downloaded that server's maps every time and played flawlessly. The map giving me a hard time is Nightfever. I've deleted and joined the server repeatedly and nada.

Was this on n00bfest servers?

If that happens it probably means that the server specified a "fast download" server which had a different map than the one on the gameserver. We use a fast download server and point it to a directory on our webserver. So if you're in a n00bfest server and it switches to a map that you don't have instead of downloading it from the gameserver, you download it from our webserver.

But its not real smart an only goes by filename so if the file on the FD server and gameserver differ you'll only find out after its done downloading.

If it's n00bfest, let us know so we can fix our FD server. But in either case, you'll have to update your own maps directory with the correct version.

Yeah, see if it's the FD server as well since I did try deleting then redownloading it from the server about 5 times. I'm gonna try the link nashville just gave me. And yeah, for mac I got a 7z alternative that works just fine. Thanks bro. I'll let you know if it worked next time the server goes to Nightfever

are you sure it was on the n00bfest server? I've never seen the server on the map Nightfever

Yeah it was on it last night. Nominate and look through the maps.

I just checked and the files match. Try deleting de_nightfever.* from your maps folder and re-downloading from n00bfest.com/cssfd/maps/
