Why do some counterstrike players play CSS thinking its like COD? The goal has always been and will always be about producing TEAM wins.
I dont give a rat F*CK who has a better KdR than who, and i think its F*CKING silly that half the people who play the game today actually do.

Newsflash - Having a high KdR DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE GOOD AT COUNTERSTRIKE.
Just means you have good hand-eye cord. and quick reflexes. That does not mean you are a good Counterstrike player.
If your kills do not help the team accomplish their objective, then I'm afraid its all for nothing.

I know that if you are still playing this game than you care some, just as I do. But i just dont understand why some of you gamers play this game but do not even play it correctly. It makes no sense. The game is about producing team wins, you can camp/bait all you want but chances are you are hurting your team and causing a bad playing experience for other players(including myself).

True story -
Everytime I see State or Tucker play Source, i will join the OTHER team. Why? Because I wanna see whos team comes out on top.
To date, Tucker and State both blow my KdR out of the water and appears they always will. But guess who's team usually wins? Mine. Shocked?
You shouldn't be. With players who camp/bait and only care about their stats, they let their team down by not covering them, not rushing with them, and not doing really jack shit for any other players. Now this is not me calling out state or tucker, I just picked 2 names most people in n00bfest know who are known for having good personal records. I do not play against anybody in n00bfest, however I have run experiments such as the one mentioned above to see if my rational is correct.

Im not saying we should treat the pub like its a 24/7 tourny, I just have a hard time grasping my head around gamers who think they are good at a game that they are playing completly wrong....and then to top it off I hear about them in-game as if they are good players. It's annoying as F*CK. Ah well, thats all i got, just tired of trying to play Counterstrike with F*CKERS who think its some other faggety-ass game.

I hear what you're saying man, I have sacrificed myself many times in hopes that my team mates will catch a glimpse of the enemy on their radar or at least to reveal the enemy position. My KDR is generally around 1:1, heh. On baiting, I usually am the bait, on purpose!

This post is intended for all the pu$$y camper/scouters who let their teamates get wasted instead of doing the map's objective. It ruins my fun because I'm trying to play the goddamn game which entagles me and my team either planting a bomb/difuse, or Rescue/hold Hostages.

If you are not that player then you have nothing to be butt hurt about.

i hate the fact that the round is over a minute long and people expect the objective to be done in less than 1. frags are just as important to the cause. I also rage at the campers that chill for 1+minute though.

I hate when I rush and find myself on the other side of the map all by myself and my team has barely left spawn.
I also hate the A-holes who bitch about they don't have enough time to buy shit, sorry but if I have time to run across the map you have time to buy and leave your spawn.

This is a pub, when someone outside of the community joins you better damn well expect them to bait and camp all day. sometimes I feel that they do it to earn respect from the community by having a high KDR, others are doing it to be complete dick holes. For the most part I think that is all anyone ever does in a pub. The game is about fun, and unfortunately some people don't think they are having fun with a .5 KDR.Shit happens, just rage on the asshole right then and there and deal with it. If possible open communication and work as a team, tell him when to flash/smoke, cover fire for him and don't let him bait you.
Me personally, I just kick back and listen to some of the most fucked up shit n00bs can say, i don't give a F*CK if i win or lose or even get a kill at all.

My kdr sucks. I've always still played the game though. Something about the teamwork always brings me back every day. I can say I've had my fair share of tryharding, but it's always the fun that brings me to the game. I'LL ALWAYS TAKE A BULLET FOR A BREH :')

Edit: jsyk, in a pub - if state, tucker, myself, moosey, etc. Join a team, its most likely the hard team (state doesn't do this) or the team that's losing.

My point? You're giving yourself too much credit. You're not winning games holding w and mouse 1 with a p90. If you want to claim that you're a game changer; lead rushes (watch reilly for pointers.) I personally hate leading rushes, unless I am the only one going that way, because I end up getting blocked. I'll do it if the team really needs it (aztec, office), but I don't like it. Continuing on that point, if I kill almost half the team (which either of the two that you mentioned are capable of) my team has a much greater chance of winning than if I run out, kamikazi and maybe kill a single person (you, usually.) Have you ever seen the effect that those two, and I to some extent have on an opposing team? Depending on what way I go, or watch, fewer people will go that way. Why? Because they don't want to die. This changes the game, momentum can be shifted in this way. You'll see me switch teams three or four times in a map sometimes, this is because I want to control momentum.

Addressing your problem with their playstyle, have you ever considered that you're more valuable alive than dead? In a pub you hope that your team can kill at least one person each round, thus going even. This rarely happens, and because such is the case, players who can kill 3, 4, 5 people in a round are incredibly valuable, moreso than those who can maybe kill one. And usually, they're the ones that end up pulling the brunt of the weight on a team. They're the ones who are capable of killing those last five people. Not the baiters you're talking about.

So in the end I guess I have two points: before you go out ranting and raging about team strategy, analyze your game; and pick targets to make examples of who aren't significantly better than you. Point whoring is obvious when the person who is doing it is bad, you'll see them steal bomb defuses, and plants more than anyone else, and you'll see them always come out last, to scrap up a few off the other team. If you want names I can give you names, but I won't start a forum bootchfest here.

One last edit: if you watch what the admins do when a good player is on, you'll notice us stack the teams extra hard against said person. There's a lot going on under the covers that you obviously haven't thought about that you kindly glossed over.

Seems weird to me that badguy picked two people with league experience (where baiting/camping is much less effective) and not someone that is DocWonder-ish (can't really think of any that play currently -- maybe that stupid happy face kid or <qq> pew pew?) To imply my or State's team loses simply because we are on the team seems pretty far-fetched. If that were the case, we would never have to switch to 'even the teams.'

I gave up on the whole team concept of CS a long time ago, theres just too many stat whores now.This is why I drink when i play...or alteast one of many reasons. Its also probably why my kdr is below1:2 and im ok with it

Ehh, calling out players for baiting and working purely for KDR, when those players are the only ones who were part of a team that brought n00bfest it's first competitive league title championship, which require a lot of teamwork, I don't really get tied up in a knot. I've had the pleasure to win the title with those players, and all of them, without a doubt have a high level understanding of what teamwork is, better than any of you in this community. You really forget, kills determine numbers advantage, an that typically dictate wins. You can only win so many rounds defusing unguarded bombs.

But you know what, just as I mentioned when I played with you in the n00bfest tournament, you're entitled to your opinion and it's valued, just realize when you rant like this you're opening the floodgates for counter opinions.
