 New Voice thingy on server CORPSE,
The new voice thing makes a lot people sound very scratchy and very staticy, not everyone, but a lot of people sounds like crap especially when they get loud.....why would it do that?

It's from people talking too close and/or too loud in their mics. They should back off the mics a bit.
I can try tweaking the sv_voicequality setting some, but I have to spend some time playing while I'm chaning the settings to see if that'll make a difference.
Tell them to back off the mic a little. Now that the voices are clear, they don't have to lean in and scream into it. Also, it could be that some people just have shitty mics.

I was talking with T-Boner and HHB and there voices sounded like they were underwater.

i turned down the voice receive volume and most of the static went away.. but ya cant do anything about shitty mics..

well yesterday I went in and people started telling me my mic sucks. Never happened before. And I definitely am not talking too close to the mic since its attached to the monitor. I lowered my send volume and they told me it was a bit better but still annoying. What giiveeess, fixing what aint broken corpse?
