Yeah this movie is stupid and it should die, and go burn in hell. Slavery would have ended when the new farming technology came out. The only reason the south had so many slaves is because their main chunk of money came from irrigation and farming. They needed mucho slaves to farm enough crops to keep ahead of the north. Because the north was of course the industrial side, which is a big part on why they won in the first place. x.x Blah blah.

This country wouldn't exist. We would be invaded and the country's inability to mobilise as a whole would be exploited by an enemy.

Why wouldn't we exist...one side had to win, in reality the North did, they subjugated the South until the end of Reconstruction and the two sides slowly healed their wounds, why couldn't the South have done the same?

Also, I don't see why we would have been invaded any more under CSA rule than with the USA, there's no reasoning in that claim.

I dunno, I mean...as much of a symbolic event as it was, the Emancipation Proclamation didn't do much to help the status of freedmen in the South (and even in the North)...sharecropping was still a pretty abusive system, and officially mandated racism remained...that's why even past WWII people were lynched without a second thought, and segregation was pretty widely accepted as a social norm. I think even if the South had won, slavery would have been slowly picked apart, one state at a time even...agreed, it probably would have taken longer, but eventually Civil Rights movements would have taken the same steps.
