Holy cow batman... :D
Sweet! 8)
My new system crashed last night, only had it about a month and then bam, would not read/boot C drive. Had to redo NTFS format and reload everything from scratch last night just to get it back up. Lost a few good movies I had not yet burned and some other crap (recent PICs/Downloads). Now Windows error report says something about a device driver issue and overclocking and now appears to be unstable and reboots out of the blue sometimes. Today will be a good test to see how bad it really is.
:x

Nah,its almost impossible to fry a cpu, motherboard or ram by overclocking. It simply will not boot or crashes, just lower the clocks and boogy.Overclocking a video card on the other hand is very stupid, they are easily damaged and expensive to replace.

is 170 degrees hot for a CPU :), I seem to be having some cooling problems, I have 5 80mm LED 2800RPM fans, cooling for video and of course cooling for CPU.
my system is intel based

Depends on what type cpu, northwood, prescott?Still thats pretty freaking hot,it might be time to reseed it or check it to a better heatsink.

Get some high dollar paste, too. That should help cool it down Drawnn.

Ok here it is, my pc sat for awhile, when i first moved up here cuz it was in FL, im not sure if thermal paste hardens or not, but I OC'd my P4 Prescott 2.4Ghz to 3.0Ghz, and the temp dropped from 160 to 127 WTF m8 myabe that softened the thermal paste and got it doing its duty? but afterall that was said and done, I booted up to find my wireless card wasnt getting any signal and my sound card wasnt working, all my PCI and integrated shit had stopped working, Except my NIC and my wireless those still worked, just didnt get connection. so, I dropped my clock speeds back to normal and all the shit started working again. so can i get some help on this. If my system will be cooler and faster with a nice overclock, I want to accomplish this.
