I'm soooooo pissed!!! Yesterday some stoned motherf.. broke into my apartment, took my Viewsonic 19" LCD monitor, my digital camera, some jewelry, my DVDs and the company's laptop (only which I dont give a shit).
I left a mess.

And no, I dont have insurance.

I borrowed my friend's old 17"CRT monitor to recompose myself. I didnt know what to do (besides the obvious: police, CSI, etc.) so I opened this tread. Well, I took today off and I am trying to get as much information as possible to list my lost goods.

First of all, if you didn't have insurance, there is nothing you can do except let the police handle it. Your chances of the guy getting caught, and getting your stuff back are slim. But better than somone who breaks into cars. Next time, have renters insurance. If you have a car w/insurance, then usually the ins. company you're with gives a pretty good deal on it. Plus, it's cheap as hell anyways. Cheapest thing you can do for next time is spend 20 bucks on a dummy camera w/blinking light, and mount it .

Getting the renters insurance. Activating the alarm. Probably a dummy camera, too. Where I find it?
