Pretty much all I play now is BF4...every now and then, I'll fire up my PS3 and play either Madden or GTA5....

EDIT: I see everyone getting intel processors now...is that the way to go?? Ever since I started building computers, everyone's said AMD is for gaming, Intel is for every day computing...has that changed now?

^Pretty much. If you just got a new PC, buy GTAV for PC when it'll release. That's basically the only game you need atm

as far as cpu is concerned I think it's personal preference. I got the Intel because I wanted an Intel computer. I got the 4690k because Its the best I could get for the money.

I just built a new rig too. Went with AMD because it was way cheaper.

Specs are: 8cores @ 4ghz, 32GB RAM, GTX970, 500G SSD. Shit's boss.

How much would something similar be worth, just out of curiosity

AMD is cheaper for the same performance. I'm not entirely sure about the current generation, but the only time I usually bought Intel is that for a while, they had a top processor that was slightly better than AMD's top processor. Anything less than that and AMD was a better deal.

i've been thinking of getting the i7-5820k but the fx-8350 with asus sabertooth 990fx should be a lot cheaper. Same 32gb of ram and eventually gtx970 reference unless they throw another gfx card our way. I'm mainly goin for better cpu (from Q9550) for virtual cisco router/switch work once I get into it.
